The Ferrata delle Trincee is an interesting itinerary, not only from a physical and naturalistic point of view, but also because it crosses through narrow clefts and tunnels that date back to the First World War. Torch necessary. Along the way you can see several Austrian outposts from the battles during the First World War.
You can also get here easily with the cable lift from Arabba to Portavescovo or take the path no. 698 from Passo Fedaia and in about 1 hour you arrive the starting point. The highest peak is the Bec de Mesdi.
The itinerary is technically varied and nice. The most difficult section is to be found right at the start: a steep smooth slab. Good hiking boots make a difference on this volcanic rock.
