Porphyry multi-pitch climbing around Bolzano

The porphyry multi-pitch climbing around Bolzano has gained in importance in recent years.
Several multi-pitch climbing tours of various levels of difficulty have been developed. There are suitable tours for beginners and also for more experienced multipitch climbers.

The best time to climb here is in spring and autumn, as the climbing routes face east to south. In the summer it’s too hot here.

Climbing on this quartz porphyry is really fun and you have a perfect view of Bozen. In the distance you can admire the Rosengarten/Catinaccio and the famous pinnacle of the Vajolet towers. You can see a piece of the Dolomites!

After the multi-pitch you can spend the remaining day visiting Bolzano with its archaeological museum and visiting “Icemann Ötzi” or having an aperitif in Piazza Walther.
