This beautiful via ferrata Masare in the Catinaccio – Rosengarten follows the ridge of Masarè crest. There are a lot of fun climbing sections in this ferrata in the Catinaccio mountain.
The Masare Klettersteig is one of the most beautiful fixed rope routes in the Dolomites. And offers a very varied ridge climbing in the southern Rosengarten massif.
Because of the constant horizontal up and down, climbing is never particularly difficult and also allows sometimes to relax the arms.
The via ferrata has an east-south orientation, so it is possible to climb often early in the season from mid-May onwards.
Starting point from Carezza pass on the Paolina cablelift.
Total walking time: 4.30 hours, including 2 hours via ferrata.
Difficulty: medium/easy, class B/C.
