via Ferrata week Catinaccio: from hut o hut in the Catinaccio mountain group
The Catinaccio group is a massif of the Dolomites. Located between the Valle di Tires/Tierstal, the Val d’Ega/Eggental, and Val di Fassa.
Parts of the group are protected by the Parco Naturale dello Sciliar/Naturpark Schlern. This is one of seven Natural Parks in South Tyrol.
There are many via ferrata on the Catinaccio Mountain. We traverse in a week the Catinaccio mountains along five via ferrata with different difficulty. ( from easy – to difficult)
The program:
1. Day:
arrival at Tires on the Hotel
2. Day: via ferrata Roda di Vael or Masare:
start at the morning with the lift Paolina to Roda di Vael Peak 2806m (main peak of the southern Catinaccio Group) and overnight on the hut Roda di Vael.
3. Day: via ferrata Santner:
hiking to hut Fronza to the mountain pass Santner and overnight hut Vajolet.
4. Day: via ferrata Catinaccio Antermoja:
hiking to hut d’Antermoia (overnight)
5. Day:via ferrata Laurenzi:
hiking to hut Alpe di Tires (overnight)
6. Day: via ferrata Maximilian:
hiking to peak cima di Terrarossa and Tschamin Valley to Bagni di Lavina Bianca – Weislahnbad / Tires / Tiers.
This tour is also available as hiking tour or a combination from both. Every day we can select one via ferrata or hiking trip.
